Mission
This ministry offers support and consolation within our community of
faith, by making Jesus’ love known when a loved one’s life on earth
has come to an end. We will be present for the family during
their time of loss and will provide help for those facing the pain
of separation and the many changes that loss creates.
This ministry is a function of the Parish Bereavement Team. This
team is made up of volunteers trained in the basics of grief
ministry. The team includes consolers, who call on the family for up
to a year after the loss and if necessary refer them for
professional help, and hospitality teams who provide assistance with
food, if time permits, for the family reception after the funeral.
We also provide a Grief Support Group twice a year for adult
parishioners who have experienced the loss of a loved one.
We welcome new volunteers to join our ministry. For more
information contact the Parish Office.
Prayer Line
The Prayer Line is made up of volunteers who agree to pray daily for
the intentions of parishioners and friends who have requested
prayer.

There is Hope!
The path of grief is grueling, but
the goal draws us in and the companionship of other people
simplifies what would be more difficult were we to go it alone.
Gazing upon the face of a friend who is further along the journey
persuades us that the journey is possible even for us. |
